Miljan Suknović b.1973

Miljan Suknović, born in 1973 in Serbia, studied art and architecture in Belgrade, Prague, Florence, Hamburg and New York, where he lives and works. This wide range of experiences is evident in his paintings, which are constantly evolving through various forms of artistic creation and testing the potential and limitations of materials, space and colour.

Mijan Suknović’s art is largely influenced by the Renaissance city of Florence, where he spent seven years. He has exhibited extensively internationally, with solo exhibitions at Union, Slag and Catherine Ahnell Galleries in New York, Ken’s Art Gallery in Florence, Petalouda Art Gallery in Naxos, among others was the “Constellations” exhibition at the Porto Montenegro Museum.

He painted large-scale murals in Florence, Bologna and New York and created an exhibition of installation paintings at the R. Livingston Beeckman Villa, Tower 49, in Tower 7 of the World Trade Center in New York. He was recently invited by Air France to create an installation of images for a specific location at JFK Airport in New York.

Miljan Suknović’s work is present in many private and public collections around the world, including the acquisitions of the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas hotel for the luxury Boulevard penthouse project.
