Mirjana Maračić armchairs
A pair of armchairs designed by Mirjana Maračić, manufactured by Mundus – Florijan Bobić from Varaždin, from the 1970s. This half-seat model is listed as B-16/BL-16.
Half-armchairs are made of bent beech wood that forms the armrest and two rectangular frames that represent the seat and backrest. The frames are filled with woven rattan reeds.
It is particularly interesting that the Croatian Design Society states that Mirjana Maračić worked in the Varaždin Odel for Product Development from 1967 to 1980, precisely on the design, redesign and production of chair samples. For her BL-16 model, international placement is also indicated — the product, according to her testimony, was imported by the Danes.
Nowadays, we can see that these armchairs served as an idea for many manufacturers and that similar models are appearing on the new furniture market, almost half a century later.
The price is per pair.
